One of several strange left turns for the Guilty Gear franchise (let's not talk about Guilty Gear 2: Overture), Isuka is a half-baked attempt to turn it into a side-scrolling beat-'em-up (or alternately, a four-player free-for-all brawler). The main complaint leveled at it is that there's a separate button for turning your character around, which makes sense in theory -- you don't want to switch directions when trying to pull out your special moves -- but in practice it's simply incredibly awkward and completely ruins the game's flow. It's much worse in the free-for-all mode than it is in the beat-'em-up mode, though, and it's actually pretty cool to have a Final Fight style game with real fighting game moves. But "less bad" doesn't mean it isn't still bad...
