In the near future, environmental damage has lead to a world where humans literally cannot go outside during the day. Humanoid replicants called "Mimics" were developed to do all sorts of work, but despite being highly regulated, things naturally go wrong. Imagine Blade Runner as a sexy anime visual novel, and you're about there.
Oddly enough, this one originated on consoles but got a back-port to PC that *added* pornographic content. It's as if any VN on PC is *expected* to have porn, and if you don't have it, then you might as well keep it on consoles.
This is the limited edition release that comes in a (slightly too small) cardboard box, and includes an art book filled with black-and-white production sketches and a DVD (!) soundtrack and drama disc.
