This is where things really started getting interesting for the PachiPara series. Kazuma Kujo, well known for titles like Disaster Report and Steambot Chronicles, took the helm here, and Pachi-Pro Fūunroku 4 has a new, self-contained story with a completely new engine (borrowed from Steambot Chronicles, of course). Imagine Shenmue with the forklift driving replaced by pachinko, scale it down a bit, and add character customization and dating elements. Like all of Irem's PS2 titles, it's a bit rough around the edges, but this is still a real hidden gem.
